Mission

CCICI is a professional, volunteer, body that is composed of thought leaders in Cloud across industry, academia and government. CCICI seeks to be a trusted neutral advisor and partner to governments and industry by:

  • Catalyzing innovation in cloud, promoting cloud startups and evangelizing innovative cloud services
  • Developing an India perspective on cloud requirements, including interoperability as a focus area
  • Giving inputs to standards bodies
  • Spreading the India perspective and representing Indian interests in international cloud forums.

About CCICI

Cloud Computing Innovation Council of India (CCICI) is an Independent, Not-for-Profit, Vendor-Neutral Body of Professionals from Industry, Academia and Government. We believe that adoption of cloud technologies is one of the keys for the transformation of India into a Digital Society. 

We have a Governing Board which provides strategic direction and an Executive Committee which is responsible for all operational decision making.

Our aim is to provide a open collaborative platform to accelerate the adoption and innovation of cloud computing technologies in India. To achieved that we have organized ourselves into seven working groups, each working group focuses on a specific collaborative segment.

E-Governance

  • To establish CCICI as a “trusted adviser to governments”
  • To bring thought leaders in Cloud from government into CCICI fold
  • To manage interaction with all government agencies
  • To spawn of Task Forces to manage specific needs like providing technical response to any query from government
  • Induct new members from government organizations into CCICI

Industry-specific Cloud Ecosystem

  • To establish CCICI as a “trusted neutral partner to the industry”
  • To establish linkage bodies in different industry segments
  • To identify thought leaders in different industry segments and bring them into CCICI fold
  • To spawn task forces to solve industry specific challenges
  • Induct new members from non-IT industries into CCICI

Startup and Cloud Innovation Ecosystem

  • To “catalyze innovation in cloud, promoting cloud startups and evangelizing innovative cloud services”
  • To establish link with all innovative cloud service provider and bring them into CCICI fold
  • To create a catalog of innovative cloud offerings in a CCICI directory
  • Induct new members from startup communities into CCICI

International Collaboration

  • To “spread the India perspective and representing Indian interests in international cloud forums”
  • To establish link with international bodies which are working to promote cloud computing
  • To establish linkage with consulting organizations and bring them into CCICI fold
  • Induct new members from consulting organizations and IT services enterprises into CCICI  

Cloud R&D

  • To establish link with all R&D labs in India working on cloud technologies
  • To Look at Emerging and Future areas in Cloud Technologies
  • To Enable creation of IP and Products
  • To collaborate with research teams in industry and academia
  • To bring cloud R&D thought leaders into CCICI fold
  • To bring out technical publication on cloud R&D
  • Induct new members from cloud R&D communities into CCICI

Interoperability and Standards

  • To “develop an India perspective on cloud interoperability requirements”
  • To represent Indian interest in international cloud standards bodies

Evangelization and Capacity Building

  • To organize workshops on cloud technologies
  • To bring academicians working on cloud technologies into CCICI fold
  • To establish linkage with academic institutions teaching cloud technologies and bring them into CCICI fold
  • To spawn sub-committees and task forces on specific areas of cloud technology
  • Induct new members from educational institutions into CCICI
