Digital Locker

DeitY has an initiative to build a Digital Locker for citizens for safely storing documents which are valuable assets like Academic Record, Identification Documents and Address proof Documents. Departments those are issuing these documents are mostly Government Departments. The requester or verifier of these documents can be any organization - Govt, Private, Banks, PSU as well as Private companies are also the expected to use DigiLocker. DeitY has requested CCICI to participate in a consultation exercise for the rules for creating an ecosystem for DigitalLocker providers in India.

Objective of this task force is to help DeitY to formulate:

1. Digital Locker Architecture and Components
2. Rules and Regulatory Framework for the Digital Locker
3. Governance Framework for the Digital Locker Ecosystem
